MADISON SULLIVAN

MIT Head Softball Coach

Madison Sullivan joined the MIT softball staff in 2019 and began her first season as the head coach in 2022-23 after serving as the program's interim head coach in the fall of 2022. In her first season, Coach Sullivan and her staff led the Engineers to a 36-8 overall record, capturing the #1 seed in the NEWMAC, won the programs second NEWMAC championship, went undefeated in Regionals and had a Super Regional appearance. The staff was named the NFCA region II coaching staff of the year. Coach Sullivan also serves as an instructor of physical education and wellness and helps run MIT’s student-athlete leadership program, Levitch Leadership Lab.

As a student-athlete, Sullivan played four years for Division III Brandeis University, was a two-time NFCA All-Region selection, served as captain her senior year and was also an active member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). In 144 career games, totaled a batting average of .333 to go along with 92 runs, 148 hits, 18 home runs, and 99 RBIs. Sullivan ranks first all-time in the Brandeis record books in sacrifice flies, fifth in home runs and eighth in RBIs.

Sullivan graduated from Brandeis in 2016 as a double-major in Health: Science, Society and Policy and Psychology. She earned her Masters of Public Health from Boston University in January 2021.
